§ 10 · PRIVACY POLICY

Privacy Policy

LAST UPDATED · January 15, 2025

The short version: we collect only what you send through the quote form, we use it only to reply to you, we don’t sell or share it, and you can ask us to delete it any time. The long version is below.

§ 01

What we collect

Only what you send us through the quote form on this site: your name, email address, and whatever you type into the project description field. That’s it for user-submitted data.

Automatically, our hosting provider (Vercel) records standard analytics: pages visited, referrer, rough geographic region, device type. These aggregate numbers help us see if the site is working. They are not tied to you personally.

§ 02

Why we collect it

Your name, email, and project notes exist for one reason: so we can reply to your inquiry and, if you hire us, prepare and send your CF1R. We don’t run marketing campaigns, newsletters, or drip sequences.

Analytics are for performance only: are pages slow, is anything broken, which resources are people actually reading. Nothing more.

§ 03

How we store it

Form submissions are delivered by email through Resend and land in Bo’s Gmail inbox. That’s the system of record. We don’t maintain a separate customer database, CRM, or mailing list.

We do not sell, rent, or share your information with anyone.

§ 04

How long we keep it

Inquiries stay in the inbox for project record-keeping, which is useful if you come back a year later about a revision or an addition on the same house. If you’d like your information deleted sooner, email bokenergy@gmail.com and we’ll remove it within a reasonable time.

§ 05

Third parties

We rely on a small number of vendors to run this site:

  • Resend: transactional email delivery for the quote form.
  • Vercel: hosting and privacy-friendly analytics.
  • CHEERS: California’s residential energy registry. Paying clients’ project information is registered here as part of CF1R submittal. This is required by the California Energy Commission for compliance reports to be valid.

Each of these providers has their own privacy policy. We only share the minimum information needed for them to do their job.

§ 06

Cookies & analytics

We use Vercel Analytics, which is cookieless and does not fingerprint visitors. No advertising trackers, no Meta pixel, no Google Analytics.

If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, nothing changes on our end. We weren’t tracking you that way to begin with.

§ 07

Your rights

You can ask us, any time, to:

  • Tell you what personal information we have about you.
  • Correct anything that’s wrong.
  • Delete it.

Email bokenergy@gmail.com with the request. We’ll confirm within a business day.

§ 08 · CALIFORNIA

CCPA · California residents

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, California residents have specific rights regarding personal information. These are already covered by our general policy above, but spelled out here for clarity:

  • Right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose.
  • Right to delete personal information we hold about you.
  • Right to correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Right to opt out of sale or sharing: this one doesn’t apply here. We don’t sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, ever.
  • Right to non-discrimination: exercising any of these rights won’t change the service we provide you or the price you pay.

To exercise any of these rights, email bokenergy@gmail.com with “CCPA request” in the subject line. We verify the request by replying to the email address you wrote from.

§ 09

Children's privacy

This site is a business-to-business professional service. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any information from them. If you believe a child has submitted information through the form, email us and we’ll delete it.

§ 10

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the “last updated” date at the top of the page will change with it. Material changes will be summarized at the top of this page for at least 30 days after they take effect.
